Design of a Multi-Stage, Multi-Product, and Multi-Customer Network for a Milk Manufacturing and Marketing Company
Abstract
The article describes a study on optimizing a Multi-Node, Multi-Product, and Multi-Customer network of a milk manufacturing and marketing company in Colombia through the proposal of a mathematical model. It is divided into three phases: definition of objectives and data collection, mathematical modeling in AMPL, and resolution of the model. The results show the optimal configuration of the distribution network, identifying collection and distribution centers, and analyzing customer demand fulfillment. The model provides a clear and effective solution to improve operational efficiency and competitiveness of the company.
