Integração Curricular, um caminho para o processo formativo na área da saúde, uma perspectiva da Medicina Veterinária

A integração curricular (IC) é um modelo de desenvolvimento curricular amplamente utilizado em propostas de tipo crítico, que têm como foco a aprendizagem e, portanto, propõem propostas com ênfase no aluno, buscando a compreensão significativa. O IC é uma alternativa para responder a essas necessidades, e para isso estabelece os elementos para integrar e as estratégias didáticas para alcançá-lo, de acordo com o perfil da graduação. Este artigo caracteriza o uso atual do IC em programas profissionais da área da saúde, os elementos relevantes dessas experiências e identifica as estratégias didáticas mais utilizadas em sua implementação, por meio de consulta bibliográfica em bases de dados científicas (PubMed, ScienceDirect, ClinicalKey, ERIC e Scielo) e da análise dos níveis de pesquisa correspondentes ao assunto, tanto na formação em Medicina Veterinária quanto em outros programas de saúde. Os resultados mostram a relevância de abordagens como "Uma Saúde" e Educação Interprofissional (EIP), para que um currículo com IC contribua para responder aos problemas de saúde derivados da interação Humano-Animal-Ambiente.
